I first began my business in the Spring of 2003 by selling Italian Charms on eBay. I was already a casual seller on there, but needed a way to make more money. See my husband, Leighton was living in the UK waiting out his immigration paperwork. I ended up flying over there 3 times in 7 months. Selling Italian Charms helped to pay for that. Once Leighton was stateside, my charm business allowed me to go on a month long vacation to Western Europe for 4 weeks.
It wasn't too long until the market on eBay was saturated and I had to reinvent myself. I did that my mastering the art of custom photo Italian Charms. In May 2006 I opened up my own webstore. This was a great accomplishment for me, since it had been on my "to-do" list for over 2 years. I really needed a place to send family & friends to that wanted to purchase from me, without having to pay all the eBay fees.
Now I have a steady business and am always looking for new items to add. The hardest part is actually getting them set up. I plan on really focusing on getting my new items up, so that they will be available for everyone to purchase ASAP. If in the meantime you are looking for something specific, please let me know and I will see what I can do.
Thank you to everyone that has supported me and the past and to everyone that will help make my dreams come true in the future. This website is definately a labor of love and I can't wait until I have a lot of the kinks worked out and its something that I can be proud of.
As the direction of my jewelry designs is changing, I decided to open up a 2nd website, www.whimsicalcharms.com. Whimsical Charms is currently underconstruction, but should be going live in the beginning of 2010.
